Please join us for a special information session with EURAXESS North America on European research funding, mobility, and collaboration opportunities available to U.S.-based researchers.Dr. Derya Büyüktanır Karacan, Regional Representative of EURAXESS North America, will discuss opportunities to engage with European research programs, including:Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). New opportunities supporting research, innovation, and talent in EuropeThe session will be particularly useful for faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students interested in European funding, international research partnerships, or research opportunities in Europe.About the SpeakerDr. Derya Büyüktanır Karacan is Regional Representative of EURAXESS North America, where she promotes research cooperation, researcher mobility, and engagement between Europe, the United States, and Canada. She is also an Associate Professor of International Relations and a Professorial Lecturer at the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University in Washington, DC.Dr. Büyüktanır Karacan holds a PhD in Economics and International Relations from Ankara University and completed postdoctoral research at Georgetown University. Her research focuses on science diplomacy, talent mobility, research and innovation policy, the European Union, the Global South, and Türkiye. She contributed as an expert to the European Commission’s 2025 science diplomacy report and has extensive experience in institutional partnerships, professional networks, and outreach activities for researchers.The event is sponsored by International Affairs, Office of Research, College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, Department of Physics and Astronomy, and NSF AccelNet I.ANN QCD.
