DESCRIPTION:John McEwan\, Digital Humanities Librarian\, KU Libraries\n\n \n\nHumanists building digital projects have long relied on tools such as Adobe Dreamweaver's WYSIWYG editors or Omeka's templates to transform their ideas into working websites. Each generation of these tools has made different assumptions about its users and their technical fluency. Now tools like Claude Design and Google Stitch promise to let a scholar move from a plain-language description of a project directly to an interface — generating layouts\, wireframes\, and functioning code from a prompt. Are these tools empowering and worth learning? Participants will use a selection of the tools then consider how such tools are reshaping the relationship between scholarly expertise\, design judgment\, and technical skill.\n\n \n\nRegister here!
